Coffee Cozy

Hello and Merry Christmas everyone! Today I decided to crochet a gift for a coworker, and came up with this… πŸ™‚

Cheery Coffee Cozy

The Crooked Coffee Cozy pattern features a ribbed stitch that is worked diagonally and utilizes an absorbent cotton yarn to catch condensation or coffee dribbles.

For this project I opted to use yarn I had at my immediate disposal – hence the color selection. Partway through, the orange felt a little overwhelming, so I added a few flowers to break up the sea of solid color. As my first cozy, I’m pleased with the overall result. Hope she likes it! πŸ™‚

Cute Owl Case

‘Tis the season of giving! My boss always makes us holiday goodies and I wanted to show my appreciation with something I can do. My coworker had picked up a mug with an owl on it, so I thought I’d coordinate by using this super cute crocheted Owl Cell Phone Cozy pattern and gave it a go.

Changes: For this project I used fingering weight cotton instead of worsted weight yarn, opted for a rounded square shank button instead of the oval and omitted the jewels. In the pattern the toes weren’t separated enough for my liking so I adjusted the stitches to suit. So without further ado…
VoilΓ !

As it is fingering weight yarn, I knew it wouldn’t be a phone case so I made it into a Listerine Pocketpak holder. πŸ™‚

Now thats cute AND useful! πŸ™‚

Crochet Flower Brooch

This is a gift for a very special lady in my life – my mom. πŸ™‚ I had seen the idea of making a crocheted button flower floating around Facebook and just had to try it out for myself! πŸ™‚

I added the purple slip stitching, leaves and pin with backing on my own initiative. The final piece came out quite clean and I’m really pleased. I hope she likes it! (I love you Mom!)

Undead Tako

For years my brother has praised his Quality Analyst, saying how amazing she is, how she looks out for all the guys at work and is always stating that he really needs to do something special for her, however… never gets around toΒ it. As a QA myself I know how important it is to feel appreciated, so I took it upon myself to make her a little sumthin’ sumthin’ to make her V-day special… :3

Undead Crochet Octopus

Undead Tako

She really likes zombies so I made her an “Undead Tako.” LOL! I’ve never made one before so I think it turned out okay – prolly nix the hair if I made one again tho!

Power Up!!!

Greets Sweets!

Learned how to make crocheted stars from My Merry Messy Life‘s free pattern. It took a few tries to figure out what I was doing – but I got it! I was inspired to turn it into a tiny Super Mario Power Up key ring for my friend who is having a bit of a time with school. πŸ™‚ Gambatte! Fighting!Β
