This is a gift for a very special lady in my life – my mom. 🙂 I had seen the idea of making a crocheted button flower floating around Facebook and just had to try it out for myself! 🙂
I added the purple slip stitching, leaves and pin with backing on my own initiative. The final piece came out quite clean and I’m really pleased. I hope she likes it! (I love you Mom!)

I think it turned out pretty well for my first one. Currently have a few more in the works and can definitely tell the difference in my crochet techniques. 🙂

Happy Jellyfish in Light Blue
It’s been awhile since I made my first jellyfish or even since I crocheted last! Work has been keeping me busy and it’s Summer. Summer = Vacation. :3
I tried something a bit different with this jelly, ie. making separate pieces then stitching together instead of directly crocheting onto the body/head. The “skirt” looks better than the direct stitch though this method takes much longer to assemble… I am hoping it is just a learning curve. My mom suggested making the little tentacles longer which I will be experimenting with next. Hopefully I will have a finalized crochet pattern by August.
