Pinball at the ‘Zoo

Last month my brother and I went to the “Pinball at the ‘Zoo” pinball expo in Kalamazoo, MI. We had accidentally missed the one in Rochester so when we heard about this one we made sure to go! ???????????????????????????????

It was laid back and not as crowded as the one held at Oakland University and was an overall enjoyable experience. The only thing that could have made it better is if we had a few more siblings along. 🙂

Be Sealed with the Holy Spirit…

My younger brother was recently confirmed. In the Catholic church children are baptized as babies through the will of their parents and they receive the Holy Spirit. In Confirmation which usually takes place in 8th grade is when the teen decides for his or herself to make their faith their own and receive a greater infilling of the Holy Spirit when the chrism is used to seal the holy spirit at the hands of the bishop.

We also had a lovely dinner party for him which included these awesome custom wrapped chocolates.

My Mom made these custom scripture chocolates for my brother’s party.

I believe she found the idea on Pintrest… 🙂

Following Fr. Ben Leutke’s advice about not buying junk for people, my older brother and I purchased a quality crucifix from December’s in Southgate to give to our brother after the confirmation mass. 🙂

The Lord God said…

…that it is not good for the Anna to be alone. So Anna purchased four goldfish from Petco and brought them home.

Introducing Dot, Stripe, Jayce and Finn. :3

Since my last goldfish were such a bland pale gold I decided I wanted something a little more flashy and decided on four red and whites. A big thank you to Devyn at Petco for patiently retrieving 4 specific goldfish out of a tank of 200+ and removing two that were “too white”. :3
