Tie-dyed Easter Eggs

Went over to my parents house today to  help decorate Easter eggs. :3 My mom placed me on a special mission to work on tie-dyed eggs while the rest of my siblings went to town with the crayons.

You will need:

  • Eggs
  • White Vinegar
  • Food Coloring
  • Colander
  • Sink
  • Paper Towel

Step 1: Hard boil eggs

Step 2: Let eggs cool

Step 3: Place cooled eggs into a colander and set in the sink. Take 1/2 c. white vinegar and sprinkle or dip eggs in a colander. This helps the color adhere to the eggs.

Step 4: Choose two to three food coloring colors to tie-dye your eggs with. (we chose neon pink, neon blue and regular yellow) Sprinkle the eggs with the first color, swirl the colander around gently and allow to set 30 seconds or so.

Step 5: Sprinkle second color and gently swirl again. Allow to sit for 30 seconds or so. (McDonald’s eggs anyone?)

Step 6: Sprinkle third color and gently swirl. Allow to sit for 30 seconds or so. (Now they really look marbled)

Step 7: Time to rinse off!

Step 8: Remove to paper towel to dry.

Now they’re ready to take up to church to be blessed!

Thanks for reading!
